This is the good dam. Well i like it becuase it is full of waterlily and other water plants. I find it beautiful to look at, it's also peaceful, the air is still, you can hear frogs, but this is offset my irrational fear that the serene beauty is drawing me close into the waters edge so that a croc can lunge out at me. This is my room. Yes the ceiling IS painted as a cloud scape. YES that is a massive cluster of glow stars, which are apart of a massive shooting star that tails out to the corner of the ceiling to mid way of the ceiling. My parents are selling their home. Their real estate agent hooked them up. This afternoon I went and looked at a house (Gunyong valley) with my parents and sister.
It was the kind of place that you can't own unless you have more money than sense.
Its neighbours are this

Over 11 hectares and had massive beach frontage. The main residence was built in the 50's. It screamed late 50/early 60's architecture. Even the fixtures and the fittings. The bathrooms reminded me a bit of those in the overlook hotel from the shining. But then, it may have been the creepy undertones they had. Thankfully no shower curtains or undead women.
The ocean view was enormous. You could hear the waves from the house. I've never seen anything like it before.

Get this, there were golf carts to drive to have a look around, mainly to get to the beach house.
It had a fricken beach house on the shore of the beach. Not a shack, but a 3 bedroom house. It too was trés 50/60 era. All textured wallpapers including a massive ink bonsai tree on one of the bedroom walls. Sit out at the terrace and you're on the beach, views across the bay to the city.

I first heard about the political trouble of Belarus while watching a german news program. They ran a piece on ZUBR, a young political movement. A reporter followed a couple of ZUBR members and was showed how the government clamps down on politcal activists.

M-theory denotes the existence of eleven dimensions.
Time, length, depth, height and a hypothesis of the other seven dimensions being apart of the matrix of the universe.

I’m interested in the idea of multiple realities and what constitutes reality.
Besides the four known dimensions that make up the physical fabric of the world that surrounds us, there are other aspects that humans input, to create the diverse way in which we function.
Hyper-reality is what I am particularly interested in. The ideas and methodologies generated in making a complex, often slightly bizarre structure, as seen within the surreal world of a Disney theme park, where reality can appear as more real than real.
My interest in the adaptation of reality questions the control of information and those that make the decision behind what is deemed to be more real than real.

I will investigate syllogistic logic and fallacies and the context they create to manipulate people. Non-denial denial and doublespeak and their influence/misrepresentation. I would also like to reflect upon the amplification of the surreal and stylised realism.

I hope to use mixed media to explore within the scope of my investigation. I plan on working on a set of realities, each following a stream of consciousness. Employing mixed media will enable me to vary between the consciousness’s using animation, video, writing, drawing, sound and other formats that come to hand.

The only expectation I have of Design Studies and undertaking my investigation is that of finishing with an outcome that pleases me on a personal level as well as remaining in a positive light upon reflection. Sounds easy enough, but I have an extremely high level of expectation and a strong sense of criticism.

I am a third year undertaking DS as an elective. There is only one other third year for comparison regarding level of work and commitment to work and we are in different sub groups.
